Lockout frozen for a special set of strips that focus on ‘Banned Books Week 2011‘.

The Bay County Library will be having events all week starting September 25th to Celebrate your Freedom to Read. Click here for a schedule of Banned Books Week 2011 activities. Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read and the importance of the First Amendment. Held during the last week of September, Banned Books Week highlights the benefits of free and open access to information while drawing attention to the harms of censorship by spotlighting actual or attempted bannings of books across the United States.

Also, see the original art for this strip and others from this series on display at the Library during that same week.

Thanks for stopping by!
