Well, it’s officially been a year and I want to Thank each and every one of you who’ve stopped by, tweeted, facebooked, commented & shared in this experience. You guys (and gals) are awesome!
With that said, I have something to share. Way back in 1998 I started a small comic strip when I began working at the local paper as a Graphic Artist and it was called, ‘Lost Ambition’. It was pretty bad, but I didn’t really have any idea of what I was doing, so make fun of me if you must.
Anyway, one of the Wannabes got his first gig as a character in that strip. Allow me to share with you the First Appearance of Kenny. (As seen by clicking the thumbnail to the left)
I’ve said before that Kenny was partially based off of my own inner critic, but in those early days, he was based more off a friend of mine whom I attended college with. As you can see, Kenny wasn’t always as bitter as he seems nowadays, I guess that comes from being kept in the filing cabinet all those years. Regardless, he’s out now and I have big plans for for our wannabe elitist, so please stay tuned.
So thanks again for sharing in this occasion and the good news is, I’m just finding my bearings and look to be doing Wannabe Heroes for a long time coming. Here’s hoping you guys stick around. *Raises Glass* A toast to Wannabes, past, present & future!
Woo!
I noticed Kenny was called Kinny G. Guess you didn’t want a clarinet thrown at you for using Kenny G.
Yea, Bearman, my friend that it was based on played the Sax and he hated when we called him Kenny G., hehe
Jayson, congratulations on a year’s worth of WH. It’s an accomplishment. Having only run my own blog for a month, I’m just beginning to understand how much work it is. Creating fresh content every week is tough.
By the way, we missed you at the Judicata, although Chris was relieved because I think you’re in his age group. I hope the tournament went well.
Those two dudes were high all the time.

haha… They’re just chillin’
A late congrats on your anniversary! Here’s to many, many more!
Thanks George, I’ll try to keep em coming!
